Hey, I’m Sam North — a self-taught British filmmaker and videographer from Bournemouth, England. My journey into filmmaking wasn’t traditional. I left school early, with no qualifications and no clear direction, but a curiosity that’s never really switched off. From long days on construction sites to late nights experimenting with cameras, I learned everything the hard way — through doing, failing, and figuring things out for myself. What began as a hobby with photography soon grew into a passion for telling stories through film — finding emotion, rhythm, and meaning in every frame. Over the years, that hands-on approach has shaped how I work: creative, technical, and problem-solving all rolled into one.
I’ve been lucky enough to direct, shoot, and edit projects across industries — from motorsport and tech to fitness and lifestyle — building a business that runs on curiosity, resilience, and genuine love for the craft. For me, filmmaking isn’t just about visuals. It’s about connection — capturing moments that feel honest and creating something people can truly feel.

CAMERA EXPERINCE
I’ve worked with a range of professional camera systems, from Sony’s full-frame lineup (A7S III, FX3) to DJI’s aerial platforms like the Mavic 3 Pro. I’m confident shooting in Log formats such as S-Log 3 and D-Log, managing dynamic range, exposure, and color workflows for cinematic results. Whether handheld, gimbal, or drone — I know how to adapt the camera to the story, not the other way around.
POST PRODUCTION
Years of hands-on experience using industry-leading software like DaVinci Resolve Studio to deliver a polished, professional workflow from start to finish — with deep understanding of colour spaces such as S-Log3 and D-Log for precise colour grading and cinematic results.
